An exciting "blown yarn " composed of soft baby alpaca, polyamide and warm, cozy merino yarn .
Its construction is unique, similar to DROPS Cloud, based on the latest technologies for yarn . Instead of spinning the baby alpaca and merino yarn fibers, they are blown with air into a tube. This makes garments made with this yarn about 30-35% lighter than those made with conventionally spun yarn of the same thickness. Furthermore, a 50g ovillo of DROPS Air contains a much longer yarn length than traditional ovillo of yarn of similar thickness.
DROPS Air is - as its name suggests - a very "airy" yarn that feels wonderfully good against the skin and, this quality, makes it perfect for accessories, shawls, sweaters and jackets in both plain and textured patterns.
